This past week I have really been into dancing, more so than I have in a while. Having gone to the dance studio last Friday, it reminded me of how much I love to dance.
As a spur of the moment decision, my friend Bridgette and I decided to rent out a dance studio and just dance. It was the longest three hours of our lives, but well worth it. It ended with lots of pain, bruises, cuts, and sore muscles.
I realized, however, that I have a lot of work to do as far as getting better and working on my technique. But having not danced for over four years, I'll say I was pretty good. My flexibility could use some work, but I was able to get my leg high enough for an extension and a scorpion. Though I want to go much further and have a few goals set out for myself to complete by the end of this year:

I'm also thinking of taking modern dance classes maybe next semester at school or taking it up at the studio. We'll see about that when the time comes, but for now, my room and living room will have to do.
Remember, practice makes perfect!! I can't wait to get back in there and perfect my techniques and reach my flexibility potential!! Until next time!!
(Keep an eye out for my new blog on dance and technique)
